The Craving Experiment

The Craving Experiment was developed as an addition to the two curricula to help the students understand the implications of craving and its effect on the addicted brain.

It is an Apple App Store & Google Play Store application that requires the student to give up something that is pleasurable and prevalent in their life for 4 consecutive days while the app tracks their craving. This experiment models what an addicted person might experience as their craving builds for their substance, provides the students with insight into the addictive process, and, hopefully, grants them some empathy for those who suffer from the disease in general.
